Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation in Egypt Dr. Ezz El-Deen Abu-Setit discussed with the Director of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) Dr. Rafik Ali Saleh the cooperation between the two sides in the fields of applied scientific research and development of livestock and increase productivity.
He noted the role of ACSAD in achieving sustainable Arab agricultural development and the development of its scientific performance in recent years.
For his part, Saleh stressed ACSAD's readiness to contribute to achieving a sustainable agricultural renaissance in all Arab countries and to strengthen scientific and technical cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and develop its technical competencies.
It should be noted that there is cooperation between the Agricultural Research and Desert Research Center of the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and ACSAD, which includes rainwater harvesting, digging wells, spreading the cultivation of vegetables and drought-resistant fruit trees and resisting the dunes by planting olive, palm and almond trees.
