Arrived a year ago at the helm of the Bibendum, following the departure of Jean-Dominique Senard for the presidency of Renault, Florent Menegaux speaks for the first time on the occasion of the publication of the results of Michelin. The group saw its turnover grow by 7.8% to 24.13 billion euros with an operating margin of 12.5% and a net profit of 1.73 billion euros.

LE FIGARO. - How do you assess 2019 for Michelin?
Florent MENEGAUX. - We had three transitions to manage: our change in governance, the evolution of our economic model and the impact of the massive awareness of the consequences of global warming. We had started with Jean-Dominique Senard a strategic approach two or three years ago and came to the conclusion that Michelin's growth in tires was not sufficient. The tire now represents 90% of our turnover, in ten years it will be around 75%. It will remain our core activity
