Over a period of five days, the Syrian food industrial companies participating in the 25th World Food Exhibition Gulfwood registered a distinguished presence by presenting and displaying the best and latest products to thousands of visitors.
Director General of the Support and Development of Local Production and Exports Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Maida considered in a statement to SANA that the exhibition constituted a new addition in the field of marketing the Syrian product and promoting it and enhancing its presence in foreign markets, especially that the participating companies were keen to display new products.
Meeda said that the wings of the Syrian companies received thousands of visitors from businessmen, traders and interested people from different countries of the world as these visits resulted in reaching agreements and signing dozens of contracts to export Syrian products to many markets, which is the goal that the Commission for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports sought to support and enhance the presence of Syrian food companies in foreign markets.
In a similar statement, the head of the food sector at the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Talal Qala'i, saw that the turnout witnessed by the Syrian companies pavilions at the Gulfood 25 exhibition was good and distinguished, and the companies achieved through it an opportunity to communicate with foodstuff traders from all countries, which helps to support Syrian exports .
The Commission for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports organized the participation of the pavilion of the Syrian Arab Republic in the activities of the exhibition, which included dozens of leading Syrian companies in the field of food.
