The shadow of the Rafale has hovered over the year 2019: last year, the French combat aircraft offered its manufacturer Dassault Aviation (*) a record vintage. Never had he delivered so many aircraft (26) in a single year. This, thanks to customers gained by export since " the Rafale has entered the white period in France, with no delivery scheduled between 2019 and 2021 ", specifies the group's CEO, Éric Trappier.
From 2022, the French armies will again receive Rafales, of which there are 28 copies to be delivered by 2024, as part of the last national order. A new contract is to take over later, for deliveries from 2027.
In the meantime, orders placed by Egypt, Qatar and India provide good momentum to the program. " Of the 96 export orders, we delivered 49, " says Éric Trappier. This year, the group plans to deliver 13 aircraft and maintain the assembly rate for 2 aircraft
