Istanbul-Sana
The Turkish lira fell to its lowest levels in trading in more than nine months today due to investor concerns about the policies of the Turkish regime's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Reuters reported that the dollar rose against the lira today to reach 6,169 pounds, compared with yesterday's closing price of 6,156 pounds.
Earlier, the currency fell about 0.25 percent to reach 6,172 pounds against the dollar, reaching its lowest level since May 10.
The Turkish currency has lost more than 3.5 percent of its value this year after it tumbled about forty percent during the past two years as a result of high levels of foreign debt to Turkey in light of the reckless economic policies of Erdogan's regime.
