Oil prices continued to decline today with governments taking further measures to contain the global outbreak of the Corona virus, which reduces expectations for oil demand and foreshadows a global economic downturn.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell 65 cents, or 2.4 percent, to 26.26 dollars a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 29 cents, or 1.3 percent, to 22.22 dollars a barrel.
Oil prices have been falling for four weeks in a row and have fallen about 60 percent since the start of the year.
