Finance asks banks to organize the process of paying salaries to alleviate the overcrowding of ATMs

Within the framework of the precautionary measures to tackle the Corona virus, the Ministry of Finance asked the directors of public banks to ensure the readiness of automated teller machines to implement the notification of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to organize the process of exchanging salaries, wages and pensions in order to reduce congestion on the teller machines.

In a circular directed to public banks, SANA obtained a copy of it, the Ministry emphasized the importance of continuous operation of all technically operable ATMs, re-operating the idle ones, and announcing the locations of each cashier in the governorates and countryside, as well as setting up a program to ensure that all ATMs are fed within the specified hours to receive salaries and are duly announced and organize the role Every cashier must avoid crowding.

The ministry also requested "to accelerate the fulfillment of all the technical and logistical requirements necessary to link the network of ATMs and the real estate bank where the citizen can withdraw his balance from any ATM belonging to public banks" and to ensure the possibility of withdrawal, whether from public bank ATMs or from the mail where it becomes points that can be deserving of salaries Withdrawal thereof is more than two hundred ATMs at the real estate, three hundred at the commercial, and two hundred points at the post offices, indicating the importance of completing as soon as possible the provision of mobile ATMs in the countryside and coordination with the relevant authorities to develop a program for their daily distribution.
