The Minister of Economy of the Nation, Martín Guzmán, denied that the bondholders had made a counteroffer in the renegotiation of the Argentine debt, although he stated: "The dialogue is going where we want."

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País , Guzmán admitted that "an important way is missing" to reach an agreement with creditors before May 22 to avoid default, since all elements of the offer can be reviewed. 

"You have to see how fast it is developing, but today the dialogue is going where we want it to go," he revealed.
