The Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) reported on Tuesday that tax collection reached $ 499,535.0 million in May , with an increase of 12.4% compared to the same month last year.
Thus, in the first five months of 2020, tax revenues rose to $ 2.3 trillion, with an increase of 28.3% compared to the same period in 2019.
"The May tax collection was affected by the drop in the level of activity associated with social, preventive and compulsory isolation. Throughout the month, some elements stand out, such as the increase in the acceptance of the different Payment Facility Plans for current debt, "said the AFIP report.
In this regard, they added that "the reasons for said increase are to be found in the regulatory changes ordered by the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) to offer financial relief to the productive fabric."
