Diesel is up 1.82 cents per liter compared to the previous week. Unleaded 95 is up 2.39 centi

Prices at the pump had collapsed at the height of the coronavirus crisis, before starting to rise in the past month. The prices of road fuels sold in service stations in France have even known, for a week, an increase at a more sustained rate, according to official figures published on Monday.

Diesel, the best-selling fuel, was worth 1.2092 euros per liter, up 1.82 cents from the previous week, according to data from the Ministry of Ecological and Inclusive Transition. It is its fourth week of consecutive increases after a long period of decline in the wake of oil prices, victims of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Up to + 2.5 cents per liter in seven days

For its part, unleaded 95 gasoline sold for 1.3125 euros, up 2.39 cents. As for the SP95-E10, which contains up to 10% ethanol, it gained 2.50 cents, at 1.2964 euros. Finally, the SP98 was sold 1.3692 euro, or 2.51 cents more. Fuel prices at the pump vary according to several parameters such as the price of a barrel of oil, the euro-dollar exchange rate, the level of stocks of petroleum products and demand, as well as taxes.

Crude oil prices had collapsed with the Covid-19 pandemic which affected activity and in particular demand for transport. They have since recovered somewhat thanks to the fall in production undertaken by certain countries and the prospect of a recovery in demand.
