In bottle, in cubi, in crate-box (also called bag-in-box), in flexible pouch, the wine is available in all containers including… in a can! Widely used in the United States, this mode of consumption remains unknown to date in France. The first will find their place in mass distribution, catering delivery, and some festivals this summer. "These are 25 cl cans of IGP Mediterranean rosé" , explains Franck Bourguignon, director of sales development for Moncigale. In France, the cans will be sold individually (around 2 euros). But Moncigale aims primarily at export, notably the American and English markets. “ The bobbin market weighs several hundred million dollars in the United States, is growing in this country. We don't want to miss the boat. ”Moncigale also targets catering in transport and especially the plane. This is the reason why its production line is adapted to 18.7 cl cans, the format used in flight. The only player in the wine market to offer this format in France, Moncigale arouses the interest of several players in the wine sector. Canning on behalf of other cellars has already been carried out by Marie Brizard's subsidiary.
