Oil prices fell 1.5 percent today, reversing course after the decline in demand for gasoline in the United States last week.
According to Reuters, the international benchmark Brent crude fell 69 cents, equivalent to 1.5 percent, to 44.89 dollars a barrel, after two-day gains, while the US West Texas Intermediate crude fell 82 cents or two percent to 41.94 dollars a barrel.
Oil recovered from historic lows reached in April when Brent plunged to a 21-year low at less than $ 16 a barrel, and US crude closed in one of the sessions below zero.
