The new reinforcement of the exchange rate establishes that those who want to access the official dollar will have to pay, in addition to the 30% surcharge corresponding to the PAIS tax, another
35% on account of the Income and Personal Property taxes.
Given the new provision of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) established a mechanism, which will come into effect on Wednesday, to apply the corresponding withholdings on account of the aforementioned taxes.
