Deutsche Post employees have announced new warning strikes in order to increase the pressure on employers in the ongoing collective bargaining negotiations.

This time all federal states are affected, the employee representatives announced on Friday.

For example, the Ver.di union has called on around 1,400 workers in Berlin and Brandenburg to take part in industrial action.

You should also leave work on Saturday.

Many letters and parcels should be left lying around on the weekend.

Verdi is calling for a wage increase of 5.5 percent over a period of twelve months for the approximately 140,000 employees of the Post.

According to the union, the employer has only offered 1.5 percent more salary so far.

The next round of negotiations is planned for next Monday and Tuesday.

Verdi negotiator Andrea Kocsis complained that in the first two rounds one was "no closer to a collective agreement".
