We love our pets.

It makes sense, we all chose to put them in our family cell and raise them hence the great love.

There are many figures that definitely back this up.

According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), U.S. citizens spent more than $ 72 billion on their pets in 2018, a trend that continues to rise.

It is easy to claim that we love animals.

After all, we take care to pamper them with luxury pet equipment, artistic pet food and luxury spas and grooming.

But does that really mean we love them?

The Israeli company Natural Intelligence, a world leader in the field of comparisons that helps millions of consumers around the world make informed decisions in a short time, has decided to put the question to the test.

The company conducted an anonymous survey among 650 pet owners and asked them some tough questions like: Will you sell your pet for a high bid?

Would you move apartment / locality for your pet?

Would you still love your pet if she could talk - even if it means gossiping and revealing embarrassing details about you?

The survey received warm and loving answers from the respondents, along with surprising and less loving answers.

There is no limit to love.

really?

Key points from the survey

  • 14% of pet owners secretly hate people who are allergic to their pet

  • Women will respond more positively to a talking pet than men

  • 73% of respondents say it annoys them when people tell them how to raise their pet

  • 62% of respondents said they would move apartment or return for the sake of their pet

  • 17% of pet owners tend to have fewer children because of their pets

  • More men than women think their pets look like Brad Pitt

Are pets best friends of men or women?

Apparently the ultimate test of loyalty is the need to rate something we like so the company asked the respondents who participated in the survey to give it a try.

First, a simpler question was asked: "How much do you like your pet on a scale of 1 to 100?"

- More than half of the 646 respondents gave a perfect score of 100 to their pet love.

The number of women who voted 100 was 10% higher than men, as well as pet owners aged 45-60 compared to younger respondents.

But it turns out not everyone loves their pets that much.

Many people answered below 50 - including 21 people who answered in single digits (0-9).

However, more than 50% of respondents answered 100, and the average of 646 respondents was 85.

What is the price?

The next question was: "What is the lowest price at which you would agree to sell your pet?", Most respondents proved their love - 75% stated that they would not sell their pet for any fortune in the world.

But what about the remaining 25%?

The remaining 166 respondents answered that they would sell their pet for a certain price.

27 of them (16%) answered that they would even sell their pet for less than $ 500.

32 of the respondents answered that they would sell their pet for less than $ 1,000, 31 answered that for less than $ 5,000 and 14 answered that for less than $ 10,000.

good news?

The remaining respondents to the survey replied that they would sell the pet for only a price that would have exceeded $ 10,000.

Presumably these pet owners are either very good businessmen, or ones who will not actually sell their pet in the end.

What celeb does your pet look like?

Nothing screams admiration more than comparing your pet to the most equal star in the world.

And that is exactly what the respondents in the survey did.

Natural Intelligence asked the respondents to wife a similar actor or actress to their pet and the answers were full of pride.

  • The most mentioned celeb was Brad Pitt - 19 answers (9 women, 10 men)

  • Immediately after him were Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood

  • Other celebs mentioned were: Snoop Dogg, John Oliver, Danny De Vito, Gene Hackman, Idris Alba, Fred Rogers and Zoe Deschanel.

  • About a dozen responded that their pet was unlike any other

With such a binding name, how can the dog not be like him?

Snoop Dog

If your pet could talk, how worried would you be that your secrets would be revealed?

Although pet owners were quick to argue that they would love their pets just as much if not more, if their pets could talk, their enthusiasm was a little more restrained when they had to consider what their pets were really talking about.

Nearly half of pet owners (46%) said yes, they would be scared, with 12% of them saying they were "very scared".

Most respondents (54%) claimed they would not worry, but this is a fairly steep drop compared to 88% of people who enthusiastically claimed they would love their pet even if it could talk.

"Is that what you give the dog to eat?"

The question was asked: "How angry are you when people tell you how to raise your pet?"

It turns out that very.

A surprising number of 73% of respondents answered that it bothers them greatly.

Of these, 39% answered that it would make them very angry.

Most of the respondents were in the middle, answering that such feedback would bother them to some extent and a small group of respondents answered that such comments would bother them to a small extent.

27% of respondents who responded that such comments do not bother them at all, are clearly a minority.

It can be concluded that most pet owners do not like people telling them how to raise their child.

Do we really love our pets?

In conclusion, according to a survey by Natural Intelligence, most pet owners would be willing to move in for their pets, would love their pets even more if they could talk - even if it meant gossiping about them.

And perhaps the most impressive number, most respondents would not even think of selling their pets, no matter how high the offer.
