Iceberg in the fjord of Narsaq on Greenland (archive): Mineral water with the brand name "Berg"

The table water comes from Greenland glacier ice, is produced in Canada - and sold by a chain of department stores in Switzerland.
The Swiss retailer Manor has now received a shameful price for this absurd transport.
Manor faced the criticism.
She accepted the disgraceful award from the Alpine Initiative Association, which wants to protect the mountains from transit traffic, at the corporate headquarters in Basel.
"This green product label should be raven black and not green," said the Social Democratic MP and President of the Alpine Initiative, according to the announcement about the mineral water called "Berg" at the award ceremony.
"Shipping drinking water from the Greenland Ice sheet across the Atlantic is the height of nonsense."
The removal of iceberg fragments removes cold from the sea - and the transport also heats the atmosphere.
794 grams of CO2 emissions per bottle
The initiative believes that moving the water from melted Greenland glacier ice over a total of 9600 kilometers seems particularly cynical in view of the melting polar caps.
In addition, there is cheap and clean water in large quantities in Switzerland itself. The CO2 emissions for the water amount to 794 grams - per 750 milliliter bottle, mind you.
A Manor spokeswoman said that the company decided in spring to remove this and other mineral water from abroad from its range by the end of the year: "We take the feedback from the public and customers very seriously."
Almost 6,000 people took part in an online vote on the most absurd product.
The nominees included pomegranate seeds from Peru, which are brought to Egypt for processing by ship, then air freight to Switzerland, where trucks are driven to Coop's stores.
There was also a choice of pickled cucumbers from Vietnam, which are offered by the Migros food chain.
