The hydrogen trucks from Asian manufacturers are making their first rounds in Europe.
This Wednesday, seven 19-tonne trucks produced by the Korean Hyundai will be deployed on the roads of Switzerland.
A first.
This country is the manufacturer's gateway to the deployment of the Xcient Fuel Cell, a truck that emits no CO2 but only water vapor.
By the end of the year, around fifty will be crisscrossing Switzerland.
This fleet will be increased to 1,600 by 2025.

Seven Swiss supermarket and transport customers, including Coop and Migros, have ordered their fuel cell trucks.
After Switzerland, Hyundai could explore Germany, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries, already equipped with hydrogen charging stations.
