The Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, explained today that the crisis in the global economy due to the Corona virus pandemic has not ended yet and is still continuing despite the slight improvement in conditions compared to what it was last June.
Reuters quoted Georgieva as saying that "the economies of all countries are now facing a difficult rise from the deep crisis in which they entered due to the Corona virus," noting that this rise will be "long, unstable or certain."
The International Monetary Fund had expected the global economy to shrink by 4.9 percent this year, amid fears of a slowdown in the pace of recovery next year, with many countries suffering from the signs of a second wave of the epidemic.
