The underside of a board under tension at Engie

Engie's board of directors approved on Monday the sale of its shares in Suez to Veolia. The CFDT representatives opted for the empty chair policy.


At Suez, which denounced Tuesday the victory of Veolia obtained

"in unprecedented and irregular conditions"

, we did not swallow the conditions in which the vote took place within the board of directors of Engie, Monday evening .

In principle confidential, the ballot was finally revealed little by little by various indiscretions.

Meeting Monday at 7 p.m., after a final delay of one hour at the request of Bercy, the board of Engie approved the sale of 29.9% in Suez by 7 votes for and 4 against.

The five independent directors, the representative of CFE-CGC and Jean-Pierre Clamadieu approved it.
