The U.S. House of Representatives' Antitrust Commission is expected to issue dramatic recommendations that will limit the power of the technology giant.

According to reports in the United States in recent days, subcommittee intends to recommend that the major technology companies - Amazon, Apple, Google and Facebook - will not be able to hold platforms are strong and at the same time promote and sell them products and services of their own.

Such a recommendation would prevent, for example, Amazon to sell products itself in the market In the same way, such a recommendation could prevent Apple from selling and promoting apps on its behalf within its app store. .

sub-Commission antitrust House of Representatives, controlled by a democratic majority, conducted an investigation of 16 months against the giants of the tech. During a sermon and the Commission received millions of pages of documents and held a series of hearings, the last of which in July were studied CEOs of Apple, Google, Facebook And Amazon.

The committee was supposed to publish its recommendations this week but the publication was postponed at the last minute due to new information that came according to the report on Facebook's acquisition of Instagram in 2012.

The publications so far are based on leaks and a reply document from a Republican member of the House of Representatives, in which he lists his reservations about the emerging recommendations.

At the moment the recommendations are still a draft and therefore their design may change further.

In addition it is still unclear which members of the subcommittee will support them, especially among Republican members.

Implementing the recommendations in any case requires a lengthy process in Congress of antitrust and change in antitrust laws, which will be the biggest change in decades.

Democratic David Sicily, who heads the subcommittee, said in a recent interview referring to the technology giants that "you can't set the rules, control the platform and also sell it, the way Amazon does."

Sicily aims to contain on the Internet a similar reform to the Glass-Stigel Act of 1933, which separated banks from investments and commercial banks.

Other emerging recommendations of the subcommittee are to restrict the entry of technology companies into new business areas and make it difficult for them in future acquisitions and mergers.

Another recommendation is to help users move their information more easily from site to site.

These recommendations join a long line of antitrust investigations against Amazon, Google and Facebook in the U.S., both at the federal and state level. However, to date none of these investigations have matured into indictments.
