Oil prices declined today after a more than expected increase in US crude inventories.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell 30 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $ 42.35 a barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 42 cents, or 1 percent, to $ 40.25 a barrel.
Data from the American Petroleum Institute revealed that US crude stocks increased by 951,000 barrels last week.
