The Government

has not yet defined

whether on Monday it will enable cabotage flights, despite the fact that the suspension is formally in

force until three in the morning of that day

.

"We have to wait for the publication of the DNU of the Presidency," said sources from the Ministry of Transportation, where they said they did not

know

if the suspension of flights would finally be lifted.

In the absence of specific news, the airlines that operate flights in the domestic market, led by Aerolineas, pre-scheduled all their restart flights and

postponed them for a week, until Monday 19

.

But with an eye on the DNU that the Executive Branch, scheduled for Monday.

So far, in each renewal of the decree that extends the Preventive and Compulsory Social Isolation (ASPO) the following legend appears: "

Regular commercial cabotage transport flights, non-regular and general aviation

are suspended

.

"

The authorization of the flights will be when this legend

stops appearing in the DNU

, as it has been happening in each extension since March 20.

But in recent weeks, it was the authorities themselves

who made noise

on the subject.

On September 10, the head of the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC),

Paola Tamburelli

, had said in an Internet seminar that the resumption of domestic flights

would be on October 1

, with which all local airlines they got to work on scheduling for that date.

But 12 days later the ANAC itself, through an internal communication to the airlines, postponed that date until October

12

.

And at the beginning of this month, the Minister of Transport,

Mario Meoni

, said that the resumption date would be "between

the 12th and the middle of this month

."

After the announcements of President Alberto Fernández, on Friday night, the airlines were waiting for specific definitions for the sector.

But on Saturday afternoon work began on the reprogramming.

"We were waiting until the last minute to see if something was decided with the date of 12, but now

we are going to cancel that date and reschedule everything for the 19,

" said Aerolineas Argentinas spokesmen.

In the "low cost" JetSmart they also confirmed that they

rescheduled

the domestic flights for

a week

, although this Friday they began with "special" flights to Santiago de Chile, once a week.

In Transportation they assured that until now they have been working exclusively on the issue of protocols and not on the "procedures" to resume flights.

“Flights are suspended until the Presidency stops doing it.

Once that happens, we have to issue the resolutions for the procedures.

But what we are seeing,

given the low demand there

is, is that special flights are going to become regular, since there are restrictions both on the Migration side and on the part of the provinces ”.

In Flybondi they were also pending the date of resumption of the flights, but in addition its owner,

Esteban Tosutti,

criticized the Ministry of Transport for the management of flights to the provinces.

Speaking to the

Reportur

site

,

Tossutti said that the Ministry of Transportation transferred to each airline the task of speaking province by province to find out if they can fly there.

"This is a public activity and

the Ministry of Transportation should tell you the schedule,

which provinces you can fly to this month and to which next month," said the executive.
