After numerous postponements and manufacturers' concern about the lack of dollars, the Government is finalizing details to launch the "Motos para todos" plan, which provides for

financing 48 fixed installments

at subsidized rates through Banco Nación.

Its implementation, initially scheduled for the middle of last month,

was delayed due to difficulties

in creating the portal to process the credit and make the purchase, almost all of it virtually.

It was not the only thing: the program

will be known as "Circuito Mi Moto"

.

The stimulus program for motorcycle sales was announced by the president, Alberto Fernández, on September 8.

The government promised to launch it "in two weeks" and that it would reach 40 models with a ceiling of $ 200,000.

Finally, according to the final list approved by the Ministry of Productive Development, there

will be 34 models, whose prices range from $ 63,900 to $ 197,990.

There are two types of rates: for the clients of the Nation it

will be 28.5% nominal per year and 37.5%

for those who are not.

Everything is part of an agreement between the Government, armories, brands and dealers.

"

Two weeks ago they told us that the system was ready

and that it would be launched in the next few days," said Lino Stefanuto, from CAFAM, the chamber of the 11 terminals that assemble in the country.

Each one could apply up to 3 models per brand.

Therefore,

the final catalog was like this

: Betamotor (Beta and TVS), Corven (Corven and Bajaj), Dragon (Brava), Mediterranean Industrial Entrepreneurship (Keller), Gilera (Gilera), Honda (Honda), Importadora Mediterránea (Mondial and Kymco), La Emilia (Motomel, Keeway and Benelli), Pagoda (Guerrero), Visokolkis (Okinoi) and Zanella (Zanella).

The Banco Nación confirmed to

Clarín

that the software will be ready next week.

In the industry they estimate to sell around 6,000 units per month through the program, which would reinforce the little more than 25,000 that are currently patented.

However, a senior industry executive stressed that while any boost to sales is welcome, "

the plan does not come at the best time

, because the terminals have fewer products and fear losing stock."

Thus, he alluded to the recent

obstacles to imports and to the transfer of foreign currency

to pay for the purchase of supplies abroad.

In the sector they estimate that in Argentina there are

7 million motorcycles in use

, most of them with low displacement.

Financing is a crucial element for the business and soft loans point in that direction.

To get an idea, low-displacement units (between 100cc and 125CC) represent between 50 and 55% of the total market, mostly with values below the maximum amount of credits.

The Government calculated that the average value of the 34 models included is

$ 81,000, so for that figure, 48 fixed installments of $ 2,850 would be paid.

"CAFAM is waiting for the plan, but also for

us to be guaranteed the purchase of supplies

, because the two things have to go hand in hand," said Stefanuto and added: "Today we have motorcycles, as long as they assure us of

replacement in the event of an eventual devaluation

".

The "Circuito Mi Moto" plan involves manufacturers (CAFAM), concessionaires (ACARA and CADECOM), the Secretary of Commerce and Banco Nación, which grants the loans and provides the technological infrastructure.

Sales will be channeled through dealers attached to the program.

So far

140 have

already

been registered

, out of a total of 1,200 points of sale.

Almost all the management is done online and starts from the Banco Nación website, before or after choosing the motorcycle.

Basically, the tour is as follows.

1)

The interested party requests credit through the Nation's website and can count on the assistance of the concessionaire to upload data.

2)

Later and after verifying the credit history, the entity sends an email to confirm if the loan was approved and what the amount is.

Subsequently, the client receives a link, which allows him to enter the marketplace with the entire list of possible models

3)

You go to the choice and reservation of the motorcycle model on the portal.

There the client will be able to see all the models that he can buy with the amount of the loan granted in the dealerships in his area.

You cannot choose more expensive models, even if you want to pay the difference.

An extra $ 2,000 is added to the price to pay the freight of an eventual shipment.

4)

Granting of credit: the assigned Banco Nación branch coordinates with the client to sign the documentation.

This is the only face-to-face procedure.

5)

Billing and payment: the dealer issues the purchase invoice and sends it electronically to the bank.

There, Nación transfers the amount to the dealer and uploads the receipt on the site.

6)

Once the payment is credited, the dealer completes the documentation and delivers the unit.

Once again, the Government aims to launch the program in the next few days, when they verify the proper functioning of the electronic platform.

In the industry they clarify that the price list will be valid in October and that its update will depend on the approval of the Secretary of Commerce.
