With the hope of repeating the success of the procession of June 2019, which had gathered between 5,000 and 8,000 people.
At the time, it was a question of protesting against the announcement by the American industrialist of a social plan affecting 792 jobs in gas turbines, linked to the decline of this activity.
A plan reduced to 485 people after months of tension and the intervention of Bercy.

Today, the cuts are much smaller: 89 jobs will be cut in Belfort in the hydroelectric branch of GE, as part of a European restructuring of this ailing sector.
The group has also announced its exit from coal, which should affect the city at the margin.
