Marc Almert, 29, from Cologne, got a taste for wine during his training as a hotel manager.

After working at the Hotel Nassauer Hof in Wiesbaden and at the Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, he has been working as a sommelier at the five-star hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich since 2017.

In March 2019 he won the world title of the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale.
