Until then, they had passed a competition then three years in faculty to learn their trade.
But since 2019, no more competitions, and applications now go through the Parcoursup platform.
A shortfall for the preparatory schools for the competition and a difficulty in recruiting for the brands lacking essential hearing aid professionals.
Some private schools have therefore entered into an agreement with the private university of Madrid (Spain) or the Spanish private school Liceum to allow students to graduate.
"The problem is that these diplomas are issued after only 14 months of distance learning", protests Dylan Giran, president of the National Federation of Hearing Aid Students (FNEA), who does not hesitate to speak of "uncontrolled training. , cheap ".
At a discount, but billed by French schools, which act as intermediaries, around 12,000 euros.

These training courses, attended by some 250 people since 2019, according to the FNEA, are provided through e-learning and at weekends to allow working professionals to graduate quickly without stopping work.
In particular opticians who want to open a hearing aid corner in their store and “assistants” employed by hearing aid brands.
As regards European diplomas, they are admissible in France, most often after having to complete a refresher course.
