In a letter sent to employees last week, the president of the amusement park Natacha Rafalski insisted on the need to review the program of shows offered to visitors.

"

The demands of our consumers are evolving

", writes Natacha Rafalski in particular, promising support to allow "

employees affected by the effects of the transformation to be redeployed to other jobs

".

Others will be supported in their professional projects by means of a “

collective mechanism of conventional breaks

”, she explains.

Several shows will be brought to disappear such as the Wild West Show or the Stunt Show (automobile stunts), reported several union sources, confirming information from the Parisian.

"

These are very specific contracts so it is complicated to resettle them elsewhere,

" said Djamila Ouaz.

The CFDT, the leading trade union organization, insisted on the need "

to support these employees with as much social justice and balance as possible

".

After being closed from March 13 to July 15, the amusement park, which employs 17,000 people, has been closed again since October 30.

It is not expected to reopen until February 13 at the earliest.

Management does not plan to return to normal activity (equivalent to 2019) before 2022, according to a union source.

Globally, the Disney group plans to cut 32,000 jobs in its amusement park activities by the end of the first half of 2021, including 28,000 in the United States, due to the impact of the epidemic of Covid-19.
