Bombardier Transport - which is to be acquired by Alstom at the end of January - intends to increase the production capacity of the largest railway plant in France, located near Valenciennes, from around 800 train cars to more than 1,000 by next year. cars per year.

The program, called “

Plan 1000

”, provides for the creation of 400 permanent contracts in Crespin, half of which by establishing temporary and fixed-term contracts.

In total, Crespin will grow in 2021 from 2,000 employees (including 1,600 permanent contracts) to over 2,500 people (including 2,000 permanent contracts), said the president of Bombardier Transport France and Benelux, Laurent Bouyer.

The group will in particular seek to find positions for employees of companies in the region that have announced social plans, such as Bridgestone and SKF.
