Ahmed indicated that work is currently underway on the implementation of a number of vital projects in the three cities, indicating that a divider has been allocated in the city of Adra to praise a private hospital in it, and the allocation of apartments in the residential area has begun in addition to completing the electronic infrastructure in preparation for entering the e-government.

In the city of Sheikh Najjar, an exhibition city and a craft area were created, in addition to beautifying the roundabout of the third region and feeding the industrial divisions with water designated for industrial purposes, according to Ahmed, who confirmed that the number of direct industrial establishments in their creation in Adra reached 33 facilities, in Hassia 14 establishments and in Sheikh Najjar 80 establishments, while it reached The number of establishments that started production in Adra is 24, and in Hassia, 21, and 75 facilities in Sheikh Najjar.

With regard to industrial and craft areas, Ahmed revealed that four new industrial and craft zones have been created during the year 2020 in the Hodeidah area and the two villages in the Homs governorate and in Deir Atiyah and Yabroud in the Damascus countryside governorate, and work is underway to provide various types of financial and technical support to help the administrative units to implement industrial and craft zones and to overcome The difficulties encountered.

The financial contributions provided since 2006 to the industrial and craft zones to date amounted to about 18.234 billion pounds distributed over 131 industrial and craft areas in the various governorates, which were allocated to pay the establishment expenses and expropriation allowances and to complete the implementation of the infrastructure works with a focus on the rehabilitation of the damaged industrial and craft areas by studying their needs for restoration. Rehabilitation of the destroyed infrastructure in it, putting it into production, and providing the necessary subsidies for that, either from the revenues of Legislative Decree No. 37 of 2015 or from the allocations of the Reconstruction Committee, according to Ahmed.

The Director of Services and Industrial Estates revealed that the total contributions made from the proceeds of Legislative Decree No. 37 amounted to 4983.101 million pounds allocated for the rehabilitation and protection of industrial and craft areas, while the total financial contributions provided by the Reconstruction Committee amounted to 1671.429 million pounds allocated for the rehabilitation of the affected areas and the number of divisions offered to industrialists In the industrial and craft zones that are under implementation, 18671 divided, pointing out that incentive facilities were provided to industries for substituting import alternatives, which helped increase self-reliance.

Ahmed explained that consideration is taken when allocating the divisions in industrial cities and regions to projects of alternatives to imports, in addition to postponing the demand for payment of the first payment until the project begins work, extending the period of payment of installments to become over 20 years, and authorizing the governors to address the Ministry of Health regarding granting the necessary approvals for the establishment of health facilities. Or pharmaceutical laboratories in the cities and industrial and craft areas.

It should be noted that more than 11 industrial zones have been created during the past years, distributed between Rural Damascus, Tartous, Lattakia, Homs and Sweida.
