Most of the Gulf stock markets closed lower today, as sentiment affected the increasing number of Coronavirus cases.
Reuters reported that the main index in Saudi Arabia fell by 0.5 percent, National Commercial Bank fell to 1.7 percent, while Al-Rajhi Bank fell 0.5 percent.
In Qatar, the index fell 0.3 percent, due to a 0.8 percent drop in Qatar National Bank, the largest Gulf bank, and a 0.6 percent drop in Qatar Islamic Bank.
In Dubai, the main index lost 0.7 percent, under the weight of a leading share of Emaar Properties, which fell 2 percent, and low-cost Air Arabia fell 3.7 percent.
In Kuwait, the main index jumped to 0.6 percent, and all financial stocks closed higher, such as the National Bank of Kuwait, by 0.6 percent.
