The Ministry of Communications fines the Israel Post in the amount of two million shekels - the ministry informed the post office of its intention to impose a financial sanction of this amount on the company, for violations and continuous deficiencies at a number of stations, including Barhat, Petah Tikva, Rosh Ha'Ain, Ramat Hasharon and Herzliya, Segev Shalom and Arad .
The postal authority now has up to 45 days to argue against the intention to impose financial sanctions.
Among the deficiencies for which the postal service was fined are delays of 9 months in the distribution of mail;
failure to operate a postal unit for six months;
Reduction of operating hours contrary to the provisions of the license.
In Berhat, there were delays in the distribution of registered mail, contrary to the standard established in the company's license, which is up to 10 working days for delivery.
Also, hundreds of e-mails were found to be delayed for periods of up to 9 months.
The amount of the sanction is NIS 435,190.
At
the post office in Arad, the company reduced the hours of operation on its own initiative, and for this a sanction of NIS 391,680 was imposed.
In Rosh Ha'Ain, delays were found in the distribution of hundreds of registered mail items of up to 117 working days.
The amount of the financial sanction is NIS 348,152.

In Petah Tikva there were delays in the distribution of hundreds of registered mail items and thousands of regular mail items of up to 64 working days.

In Ramat Hasharon and Herzliya - Postman's Center Ramat Hasharon Herzliya delayed mail items of up to 57 working days were found.

In Segev Shalom, a postal unit was not operated in the settlement for a period of about five months, contrary to the layout instructions in the license, so the residents of the settlement were left without postal services.
The ministry announced its intention to impose a financial sanction of NIS 174,080.
The director general of the (acting) Ministry of Communications, Maimon (Moni) Shamila, said that "postal services are essential services.
From inspections carried out before the outbreak of the war, substantial deviations were found that cannot be put on the agenda."
