If the model and recurrence of professional travel have clearly changed since the health crisis and confinements, their newfound dynamism seems not to have escaped the giants of the sector.
On Monday, the heavyweight American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) announced its intention to put on the table 570 million dollars (526 million euros) to acquire its compatriot CWT, formerly known as Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Specializing in the management of business travel, events and meetings, this major target should, at the end of the operation planned for the end of 2024, bring 4,000 customers and 785 million euros in additional turnover to Amex GBT .
