Gafni's transfers: ultra-orthodox organizations and 12 new standards for the prime minister's office

The Finance Committee chaired by MK Moshe Gafni today approved a series of transfers of budget surpluses between the 2023 budget year and the 2024 budget year, as well as transfers between ministries and internal budgetary changes in the ministry budgets.



Most of the transfers include funds intended for organizations affiliated with ultra-orthodox society, Gafni's voters who has served as the chairman of the finance committee for many years, in accordance with coalition agreements when the total amount is several tens of millions of shekels.



For example, the Ministry of Health received a budget of approximately 26 million shekels in accordance with government decisions regarding the "implementation of coalition agreements in 2023 and beyond", which will be transferred to various organizations. About 10 million shekels will be transferred to support national volunteer organizations, about 10 million shekels for support of public institutions recognized as auxiliary organizations operating in the field of emergency medicine, about 4 million shekels for support of public institutions that operate a database of bone marrow donors, and about 2 million shekels For supporting public institutions that work to increase the transplant system and recruit organ donors.



Another 9.5 million shekels will be transferred from the section of other development expenses to the Ministry of Transportation, with the budget intended for the training of ultra-orthodox bus drivers in accordance with the coalition agreements.

12 personnel standards from the general reserve and another 6 million shekels will be transferred to the Prime Minister's office, as well as 33.5 million shekels in authorization to commit for the Authority for Economic and Social Development of the ultra-Orthodox sector under the Prime Minister's Office, for the purpose of the authority's salary budgeting and operations, project budgeting, a call to authorities, and the establishment of an inquiry center. Also in this case, in accordance with the coalition agreements,



the Prime Minister's Office will receive NIS 10 million as an authorization to commit, intended for the Ministry of Regional Cooperation, in order to carry out operations and projects and to support academic programs and research carried out in cooperation between academics from the region. Establishing a knowledge center on regional cooperation, as well as support for associations promoting regional cooperation.



The committee approved the transfer of budget surpluses between the years 2023 and 2024, when, among other things, about NIS 62 million of surpluses of the Authority for the Rights of Holocaust Survivors, which were not used this year, were transferred to the next year.



Budget surpluses were also transferred between the years 2023 and 2024 of the following ministries: 93 million NIS surpluses of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about 271 million NIS surpluses of the Ministry of the Interior, about 62 million NIS, about 122 million NIS surpluses of the Population and Immigration Authority, about 415 million NIS surpluses from the employment section, about NIS 187 million surpluses from the local authorities section, about NIS 158 million surpluses from the Ministry of Transportation, about NIS 34 million surpluses from the Israel Mapping Center.
