The Iranians did fail this time, but they managed to change the equation

Despite Israel's impressive achievement against Iran, we should be a little more modest with a little less victory signs and more critical thinking

The launch of the Iranian missile "Pawa 351"/Iranian News Agency

The night between Saturday and Sunday was dramatic. No epistle telling how good we were will diminish the fact that the sky in Israel looked like a scene from a science fiction movie for a few long minutes that were scheduled for many days by a country that every year has over 150 thousand graduate students in exact sciences. We were also punctual that night, in a professional and impressive manner. We have seen the intercept videos taken from every corner of the country, from every hill or building in Israel, where no one sleeps on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

But what we didn't see is the interesting and important thing, it connects well with what has been happening here in recent years and was expressed in a written and short message, one that starred on the world's leading news channels and was said in the Persian language by people wearing uniforms at senior levels. The two important words were "changing equation". This is the clear translation of the videos of the victory and the interception, you shouldn't be ashamed of them even though they are extremely impressive by all accounts.

Imagine if we were to get used to firing 300 precision missiles from the north which would be intercepted with a phenomenal success rate, or 300 rockets once a week from the Gaza Strip, one of which would hit a military base at best. I guess the answer is negative, so is the reality from Shabbat in the evening. Over 85 tons of explosives were launched towards the State of Israel on the night we experienced, with the exception of a minor injury that was repaired immediately and together with the coordination of our allies, yes even those who criticize us with no sense. Most of the explosive material carried on top of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles is intercepted or dropped long before it enters Israeli airspace.

But does someone need to remind us that we should treat the enemy not only according to his low capabilities and level of vulnerability, but according to his intentions. Just as we didn't think that the innovative weapons on the seventh of October were those scoundrels who simply ran over the expensive and smart border fence that protected us all.

In a normal reality, it might have been possible to purchase shares of the Rafael company or others among the leaders in the Israeli arms industry. In a normal reality, we would be informed that the same successful companies announced the establishment of production and development plants in the Negev and the Galilee, thus contributing to the return of the residents to their homes in the north and the south, while boosting the Israeli economy with a unique product whose testing ground is the Israeli airspace, the airspace of all of us, such as the excellent defense systems which may be the product sold and desired by many countries in the world. Because who doesn't want to be protected against any trouble that may not come and why don't we buy missiles that hit missiles instead of those that are meant to hit us, are now being asked in all the capitals of Europe.

The Sukkot Shani alarm clock should not be turned off on Pesach. You should look at familiar terms like conception differently, you should behave differently in operational achievements like modesty and evaluate the enemy a little more seriously since military capabilities are subject to the zeitgeist and resources. The intentions and belief in war are ancient.

Those who know the Iranian people know how to point to patience as one of the leading qualities, inclusive thinking as well, sometimes they are intertwined. The Iranians built an offensive ring around us from a concept that activates terrorist organizations and militias in the various sectors and waited patiently for many years for a direct attack even though they have been directly attacked according to foreign publications patiently for years. It didn't just happen, three hundred cruise missiles and UAVs could have been four hundred or less, the number was intended to convey quantification, but it was intended to indicate that the equation has changed and now direct action may take part in the war without giving up the other arenas.

The State of Israel will be forced to respond to the change in the equation, because Otherwise, the meaning of things is to accept it as a language. The way of response will be considered far beyond what we think, from an attack to the one launched at us and not one less missile, and now we will see the defense systems in Tehran to the means of disrupting the fabric of civilian life without using explosives Imagination and experience are intertwined, we've already been there.

So instead of immediately writing how good we were, we'll just be without writing. And instead of declaring victory, we will simply win. Let's start thinking about what could happen if we don't win or be so good, because we will never be resilient and treat our allies with the respect of warriors, one that contains criticism and says thanks to those who stand by our side in trouble. Anyone who does not understand how many foreign squadrons and pilots were busy on Saturday night intercepting the attack on the State of Israel should know and think three more seconds before he criticizes them for their opinion and reacts to the criticism heard from them.

The closing of the airspace is a very rare thing of great symbolic significance. This is what happened in the twin disaster and this is what happened to the State of Israel last Saturday. Something in your independence is silenced at that moment and feelings of helplessness hang in the air, regardless of what we have and how ready, good or talented we are. Taking off with a plane and getting out of the airspace before it closes is a difficult feeling that I experienced together with my friends for that night, but it is accompanied by a sense of ability that even when the threat is excited, we manage to preserve basic abilities such as flying and do not stand still and wait in the hope that everything will be over and the mess will be sorted out.

In every crisis lies an opportunity, a friend used to tell me from time to time. In the last few months, we also have an opportunity that did not miss the night between Shabbat and Sunday, because it is written in the Torah that you shall work for six days, and those who bother on the eve of Shabbat will eat on Shabbat, so perhaps it is better that during the week we be a little better or prepared, a little more modest and deliberate with a little less triumphalism and more thinking critical. Because the last Sabbaths bring upon us the most significant change in the equation for the future of the State of Israel, this cannot be seen in the videos. It's already here.
