Manchester City hit their fourth straight Premier League victory by beating Brighton 1-0 and climbed to third place in the league table, also having a game to catch up. A goal by Foden in the 44th minute - with the failure to double in the recovery for a penalty missed by Sterling - was enough for Pep Guardiola's team to move to -1 from Liverpool and -4 from the cousins of United who are in command, alongside Leicester in the meantime and Everton at 32 points. Brighton are fourth from bottom but have already played more games than many others in danger, such as Fulham which is in the red zone, or Burnley which is fifth from bottom. 1-1 draw between Tottenham and Fulham, Mourinho remains in place at 30 points.
