(CNN) - The number of deaths and the number of people infected with Wuhan's coronavirus continues to grow, with no signs of slowing down despite severe quarantine and population control methods established in China. The coronavirus outbreak has killed more than 560 people and infected more than 28,000, the vast majority in China.
Outside of mainland China, it has spread to more than 25 countries and territories, and killed two people. More than 7,300 people are quarantined on two cruises in front of Hong Kong and Japan amid concerns of passengers and crew members who were exposed without realizing the Wuhan coronavirus by infected passengers.

- Two newborn babies in Wuhan, China, have been infected with the coronavirus, according to China's state television broadcaster CCTV. The youngest baby was diagnosed with only 30 hours of age.
- The baby's mother was also infected with the virus, and CCTV suggested that "there may be mother-to-child transmission," where the mother transmits the virus to the baby in the womb.
- Taiwan confirmed two additional cases of coronavirus on Thursday, which makes the total on the autonomous island 13, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
- Taiwan also issued travel warning warnings to Hong Kong and Macao on Thursday, demanding that citizens of Hong Kong Macao be quarantined for 14 days after entry from Friday.
- Taiwan will ban international cruise ships from docking at its ports starting Thursday, after recent cases of virus spread by passengers on the Princess cruise ship in Japan, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health of Taiwan.
- Saudi Arabia has suspended the trip of its citizens and residents to China on Thursday, state news agency SPA said.
- More than 7,300 people are quarantined on two cruises in front of Hong Kong and Japan amid concerns of passengers and crew members who were exposed without realizing the Wuhan coronavirus by infected passengers.
- The Diamond Princess is anchored on the coast of Yokohama, near Tokyo, with 1,045 crew members and 2,666 passengers, including 428 Americans, on board.
- The Japanese Ministry of Health said 20 people aboard the Diamond Princess had been infected.
- The second ship, the World Dream, is docked at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong with more than 3,600 passengers and crew members on board, the city's Health Department said Wednesday.
- Cruise companies around the world have pledged to take additional measures to protect their customers from infections, with several passengers who have been in mainland China in the last 14 days.
- Hong Kong announced a mandatory 14-day quarantine for all people entering the semi-autonomous city from mainland China, including residents. The measure comes after all but three border crossings were closed to try to contain the virus.
- Speaking on Wednesday, Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam said they were "seeing a trend of worsening outbreak," as the number of confirmed cases increased to 21. At least three of those cases did not travel outside of Hong Kong during the incubation period, which suggests that there may be community transmission, Lam said.
- HK hospital authorities asked striking employees to return to work on Thursday, as the number of cases in the city continues to grow.
