South Korea has registered 142 new infections with the new coronavirus this Saturday, which increases its number of confirmed infections to 346. The vast majority of cases come from outbreaks in a church in the city of Daegu, southeast of Seoul, and in a hospital in Cheongdo County, adjacent to that town.
The jump this Saturday is due, above all, to the sharp increase in cases in that hospital, which has gone in 24 hours from 16 infections to 108. Two other new cases have been detected in the port city of Busan, the second largest in South Korea. The tourist island of Jeju has also confirmed its first contagion.
