Israeli ambassadors in European capitals, as well as foreign diplomats serving in Israel, complain about the lack of messages from Jerusalem about the Trump administration's peace plan and its implementation.

In talks with Israel today, diplomats have stated that there is a great deal of interest in their countries as to whether the process of applying sovereignty, known as annexation, will be implemented. The local foreign ministries are asking Israeli representatives there and their envoys in Israel questions about the details of the plan, the feasibility of its implementation and its implications. "Until the establishment of the government, we could say that the issue was theoretical and that we should wait and see what the policy of the new government will be," said several diplomats. "But the government is up, and the policy is still unclear. We have to say. "

They emphasized that in the absence of messages from the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, public discourse in their countries was controlled by the Palestinians and their supporters. "The main argument is that annexation contradicts international law. Nobody equips us with answers to this or other arguments. The arena is promiscuous," they noted.

As mentioned, the complaints also come from foreign diplomats serving in Israel, who are currently fed only by Israeli media. The same representatives noted that in talks they have with representatives of the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, they receive no answers, neither about the steps Israel will take nor about justifications for the move. They emphasized that they wanted to protect the policy but were not given the tools to do so.

"Israel Today" has learned that the Foreign Ministry has prepared action plans and a message basket in case Israel executes the course of sovereignty. These programs include content that is also suitable for professional conversations with foreign ministries in the world, as well as explanatory messages. So far, Foreign Minister Ashkenazi has not instructed the Foreign Ministry headquarters to implement the plans, and therefore at this stage Israel is not actually presenting its positions.

Foreign Minister Ashkenazi says that in addition to introducing talks with his colleagues around the world, he began a round of talks with Israeli ambassadors around the world. In these talks, he learned about the needs and questions that Israeli envoys have and that he intends to give soon the tools and guidelines.

The Foreign Ministry said in response: "The issue is undergoing extensive work in the Foreign Ministry. When the work is completed and the recommendations are formulated, guidelines for action will be passed to the Israeli representative offices in the world."
