It was during the search that the assailant took out his homemade weapon. Among the three injured prison staff, one was seriously hit in the neck before being evacuated by helicopter to the Timone hospital in Marseille. His condition has been stabilized and his vital prognosis is no longer engaged, according to the same source. Another guard was injured in the hand and the other in the back. The other two injured officers were quickly evacuated in the wake.

Entrenched without hostage

The detainee has taken refuge in the visiting area, which has been completely evacuated, but he is not holding anyone hostage.
