Armenia and Azerbaijan have accused each other of violating a new ceasefire intended to end hostilities for control of the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave, which should have entered into force on Monday.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry accused Armenian forces of bombing the town of Terter and surrounding villages. The Armenian Ministry of Defense denounced enemy artillery fire on its positions in various parts of the front. The two camps each denounced a "
gross violation
" of the truce by the opposing party.
