In three months in Italy almost 11 thousand artisan companies have been lost and without aid they could become 100 thousand at the end of 2020. This is supported by the Cgia di Mestre, for which this is a negative figure, but in line with what was recorded in the same period storm of the previous three years. The worst is expected to come in the coming months, when Covid's negative economic effect will be felt more intensely.
"In these two and a half months of lockdown, many craftsmen without any income support have been in difficulty - says Paolo Zabeo della Cgia - and there have been few who hypothesized to throw in the towel and close definitively. A week after the reopening total, however, the mood has changed. There is a desire to fight, to resist, to revive the economic fortunes of one's business. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to survive with a loss of at least 300 thousand jobs. at the end of the year".
