This tribute, the location and modalities of which have not yet been announced, is organized in coordination with the family.
Emmanuel Macron went to the scene of the attack on Friday evening, in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, where he denounced a "characterized Islamist attack".
Spontaneous gatherings
However, many French people did not wait to start meeting and meditating, showing their support for the victim's family and denouncing the cruelty and horror of the attack.
In front of the gates of the college of Bois-d'Aulne, where Samuel Paty worked, nearly a thousand people gathered spontaneously, laying flowers, waving signs "I am a teacher" or "I am Samuel".
Other gatherings have already been held this Saturday in Rennes, Nice and Orléans.
