(NRW) - with just under 30,000 inhabitants.

According to the health authorities, the 7-day incidence * is 321 (previous day:

299)

The new Corona hotspot is the city of

Baesweiler

near Aachen.

"There are only 75 corona cases, but every single case worries me," said Willi Linkens, Lord Mayor of Baesweiler on Tuesday evening on WDR.

The Lord Mayor of Baesweiler hopes that the corona numbers will drop again by October 31.

As the WDR reports, there are now quarantine controls in the city.

Police officers check whether all people who tested positive for Corona remain in quarantine as prescribed.
