Covid: 37,242 cases in 24 hours, 699 victims. The ratio between positives and swabs rises again

There are 37,242 cases of coronavirus identified in Italy in the last 24 hours, about a thousand more than yesterday.

The increase in victims is instead of 699 in one day, up from yesterday. 

Since the beginning of the emergency, 1,345,767 people have been infected so far, with a total number of victims of 48,569.

The regions that recorded the greatest increase in new cases in the last 24 hours are Lombardy (9,221) and Campania (4,226) - both with a significant increase compared to yesterday - followed by Piedmont (3,861) and Veneto (3,468).

After days of decline,

the incidence of positives returns to rise compared to the number of swabs carried out in the last 24 hours

: it is 15.6% while yesterday the figure was 14.4%.

The swabs carried out on the last day were 238,077 about 12 thousand less than yesterday.

The increase in intensive care patients is still slowing down

: in the last 24 hours there are 36 more than yesterday, for a total of 3,748.

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, the currently positive are 777,176, 15,505 more in the last 24 hours: of these, 33,957 are hospitalized in ordinary wards, with an increase of 347, and 739,471 in home isolation (+15,122).

Finally, since the beginning of the emergency, 520,022 people have been discharged or healed, with an increase of 21,035 in one day.
