(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 24 - The new provisions for the containment of Covid-19 will cause a further reduction of about 5.8 billion euros in household consumption and could cause the closure of another 20 thousand activities, bringing the terminations of enterprise expected this year.
The alarm is renewed by Confesercenti second in the hypothesis that the closures are also imposed for the first week of November, the overall reduction in household spending for 2020 could reach 95.8 billion euros even with the return to normal on the occasion of the Christmas holidays .
Furthermore, according to Confesercenti, if there were to go back to two further months of lockdown, there would be an immediate drop in spending of 40 billion.
"Avoiding total lockdown is a positive fact, but the restrictions imposed could still have dramatic repercussions on businesses, especially in the sectors directly affected by the new restrictions", says Patrizia De Luise, national president of Confesercenti.
