According to the ministry, these activities can be done "without limitation of duration of practice, without certificate, within a limit of distance from the home less than 100 kilometers, by limiting gatherings to 10 people maximum, outdoors" , and "without benefiting from changing rooms which can be made available for outdoor activities ”.

However, “specific distance criteria between people” must be respected, depending on the activities: “a distance of at least 10 meters between two people for cycling and jogging activities” , as well as “sufficient physical distance for outdoor activities such as tennis, yoga, fitness for example, ” added the ministry in its press release. Thus, for yoga or cross-fit in the open air, will it be necessary to provide "4 square meters of space per person" , specifies the ministry, questioned by AFP.
No exception for professional sport
"Sports activities which do not allow this distancing (collective sports, combat sport) will not be able to resume immediately," also confirms the ministry, promising a more detailed "practical guide" after having discussed with the federations. Thus, for tennis, the distance in singles can be respected, but "not in duplicate" , specifies the ministry with AFP. "A new point of progress will be made by June 2 to assess how to resume indoor sports and disciplines that require contact," adds the cabinet of Roxana Maracineanu.

According to the ministry, these rules "for all French people apply to high-level and professional athletes who can resume high-intensity activity from May 11 but exclusively in an individual logic in strict compliance with the rules of distancing" . "Professional sport is no exception to the prohibition of practicing collective or contact sports" , insists the ministry, recalling that "no sporting competition can take place before the month of August, including behind closed doors " And that " the sporting events gathering more than 5.000 people on the same place cannot be held before the month of September " .
