A single-engine plane crashed Monday morning, September 28 at around 10:15 am in the Doubs, causing the death of its three passengers, according to the gendarmerie.
The aircraft, a Cirrus 22, had taken off from Caen for the aerodrome of Besançon-La Vèze.
It crashed into a wood a few moments before it landed in the town of La Chevillotte, about ten kilometers from its destination.
The Doubs gendarmerie was dispatched to the site to secure the scene.
The aircraft was in flames when help arrived.
The investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy was entrusted to the air section of Dijon and the air transport gendarmerie brigade of Bâle-Mulhouse.
