Franca Valeri special David award

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 05 - The DavidSpeciale 2020 award goes to Franca Valeri. The actress, 100 years old on 31 July, will receive the recognition on 8 May during the 65th edition of the David di Donatello Awards, live at 9.25 pm on RAI 1 conducted by Carlo Conti. This was announced by Piera Detassis, President and Artistic Director of the Academy of Italian Cinema - David of Donatello Awards, in agreement with the Board of Directors.
    Franca Valeri, an icon of Italian entertainment and culture, between radio and cinema, theater and TV "has never been nominated or awarded to David so far - explains Piera Detassis, who adds - Yet, with a unique flash of creativity, she was the one who had literally revolutionized the comedy and the female image since the second post-war period with the invention of symbolic characters such as Miss Snob, Sora Cecioni, Cesira the manicure.
