Because a car driver simply opened the door, a cyclist (49) from Holzkirchen fell badly on Friday at the train station.
The woman had to go to the hospital.
As the Holzkirchen police only reported on Monday, the accident occurred on Friday at around 11:45 a.m. on the Holzkirchen station square.
A 64-year-old car driver from Gmund had parked on a parking lane in front of the station building at Bahnhofsplatz 1, in which, among other things, the Sparda bank is located, in the direction of the atrium.
A 49-year-old woman from Holzkirchen was driving past the Daihatsu on her bike when the woman from Gmund suddenly opened the driver's door to get out.
She had obviously overlooked the cyclist.
Accidents like this could easily be avoided with this simple trick
To avoid a collision with the driver's door, the cyclist dodged to the left.
In doing so, however, she fell badly.
The 49-year-old from Holzkirchen was taken to the nearest hospital with a suspected fracture.
According to the police, no damage was found to the Daihatsu or the bicycle for the time being.
