India's parliamentary session that began this week is expected to be shortened after it was revealed that 30 lawmakers were infected in Corona, Reuters reported today (Saturday).
Only on Monday this week, did the Indian Parliament meet for the first time in six months.
The session was scheduled to last until early October.
But two senior members of parliament have said it may be cut short.
"Since the beginning of the session, the number of positive cases has increased, so the government is thinking of shortening the session," said one of the two parties involved in the parliament's function.
At the same time, the virus continues to rage in the country.
India has registered 93,337 new infections during the last 24 hours.
Also, 1,247 people died in the last day from the virus, so that the total death toll from corona in the country rose to 85,619.
